Auto numbering a system hierarchy in SysML
« on: June 05, 2014, 11:23:16 am »
Hi,

I'm trying create a system hierarchy by creating a SysML block definition diagram in EA, using the SysML add-on.

Is there anyway to auto number the blocks in the hierarchy, e.g. if a block has has the number 1, then its children will be numbered 1.1, 1.2 etc and their children will be numbered 1.1.1, 1.1.2 ... 1.2.1, 1.2.2 etc?

cheers,
IJV

First, the SysML add-in is for SysML 1.0. EA now supports up to SysML 1.3.

For your question, right click on the parent package (in the project browser) and select Advanced | Turn on Level Numbering.
