Tree Style Orientation
« on: April 28, 2004, 07:56:50 am »
Could we please have 'Tree Style' generalization orient from any pole rather than North-only or South-only, depending how you look at it?

Often, it makes sense to have a set of specializations to one side or the other, or indeed above, the general class.

The one-size-fits-all approach isn't working for me.

Thanks - Jonathan

I second this suggestion and add that the tree style should be consistant for generalization and realization.

I would also like to be able to use Tree Style for dependency - it would tidy up a diagram in which many-to-one and one-to-many lines would otherwise cross each other (required and provided interfaces).

"Bussing-up" the connections would clarify things greatly.

I'll "third" it.

Moreover, I'd like to see the orientation be anywhere top, bottom, left, or right.

In addition, I'd request the tree style to be added to other connectors (e.g., aggregation).

Regards.
We must become the change we want to see.
