Business modeling

In EA tool where will I attach Business usecases.

Also in one example why webpages are shown as input to business process. Business modeling should not talk about webpages is my understanding, is it correct?.

1) wrong board -> move to UML process or General
2) To what you want to attach your process?
3) It is legal to mention a Web-page in a business process. Imagine a sales system where you need to explicitly point out that your sales will also make use of the web. In general your idea is correct and a BP should not focus on details.

Thanks Thomas,

My query is specific to EA tool. Business usecase, Business objects, Activity diagrams are standard deliverables for the study. I didn't find a place where I can attach my business usecase.

Thanks
Arun

You could look into the EAexample.EAP in EA's program directory. It should be fairly easy to create a package Business UC inside Business Domain Model and place the UCs there. EA is very flexible in that respect and you should try different approaches. I personally like the CIM/PIM/PSM approach where I would create a Business Domain Model inside the CIM and derive a domain and UC model from that inside PIM, later creating the deployment in PSM. You can find some useful thread on this board when you're lucky with search (so many entries now and hard to find useful ones - rather than in the beginning when we had only few discussion).

Thanks Thomas,

Infact I did the same. Also I created a diagram to represent the BUC to Business actor interactions also.
This is the first time I am working on EA tool but I have almost 6yrs experience in Rational/IBM tools.

Thanks
Arun

I have had this step some years ago. The were quite some nice things with RR but EA had much more to offer for a much smaller price. I would not like to go back - despite the UI (Unique Interface) of EA ;)
