Rendering Text Inside Process Icon - Extended
« on: December 23, 2008, 11:26:25 pm »
A small request that shouldn't be too hard to get right:

When using the 'Process' icon from the tool box palette for Extended | Analysis, can the text label of the icon stay inside the outline of the icon?

Thanks :)
Jon

Hi Jon,

This looks more like a bug than a feature request. It seems that the clipping function is not correctly accounting for the angled side (or sides) of the shape. [Perhaps if the second line were longer, it might fail to clip on the left. I'll leave Sparx to sort that out.]

Please send a bug report to Sparx, with reference to this thread. Use the Report a Bug link near the bottom of any forum page. Instead of using the page that comes up immediately, you can use the version for registered users; just follow the link above the 'other' form, or click the Registered Users link and follow the link early on that page. The registered version of the form will allow you to attach files. You could attach perhaps the picture, or a compressed sample project where this shows up.

Sending in the report is the best way to ensure that this gets onto the fix list at Sparx. From that point it becomes a question of priorities. If you include a link to this page it is possible that a workaround will be posted. The Sparxians are busy working on EA 7.5, but they continue to be active forum participants.

HTH, David
No, you can't have it!
