Find in model/ instr-function
« on: January 13, 2009, 01:31:16 am »
is it possible to use a kind of instr-function like excel?

Fe.: keywords:
element 1: X1, X2, X3
element 2: X1, X5
element 3: X5, X1, X2

possible to say show element containing: X1 AND X5
same result when typing: X5 AND X1.
=> only element 2 and 3 must be found. not element 1 since it does not containt keyword X5

in the help function you can type multiple search terms followed by AND, OR, NEAR, NOT.

Hi Philip,

First, please post to a single forum section only. You can go to your other post and click the Remove (or Delete) button on the post to clear the duplicate post.

I think you might be able to do this by defining a custom search. There's some information about this in the EA help (look for search view).

The most important hint is to make a copy of a predefined search and edit the copy. Play around a bit. It takes a while to get the hang of this stuff, but it works well once you do.
