EA 15.1 Group Elements feature
« on: February 05, 2020, 08:36:51 pm »
I tried the new Group Elements feature on a diagram. My expectation is to focus on helping me moving a group of elements on a diagram.
As I select the group, I also can select an element within that group ; I would expect EA to let me use the quicklinker which is not the case.
Also I'd expect to use the Apply/Pickup style on indivual elements within the group.

This is only my immediate feedback; it would be worth looking at these behaviours to improve it from a usability point of view.

Hi Guillaume,

If you want to select only one of the grouped elements, using keyboard (press Tab key when nothing is selected, then use cursor keys) or range selection by mouse dragging (enclose only one element) would be helpful.

These operations are useful when you do not keep the group but want to operate one of the elements.
