Adding existing connectors to diagrams where Freeze Visible is set
« on: September 27, 2023, 06:42:46 am »
Hey there

I am trying to add just a single connector to a diagram that currently has Freeze Visible set.
The following link seems to offer the solution but when I try to perform step 3 (right click on connector to hide or show), the only options I get are:

* Relationship properties.
* Locate related element.
* Delete relationship.

The help says I should get a show/hide option, but no such luck.

Cheers :-)

Hi Jays,
It's not clear (to me, at least) if you are trying to add an existing relationship or a new one.  In either event, it may not be possible without unfreezing the diagram first and then refreezing it.

We implemented our own "Diagram Freezing" technology before Sparx did.  It was true "Freezing" - it meant NO changes could be made (even shape changes) while frozen.  If changes were made, they were compared to the version in the "Freezer" and "backed out".

I suspect something similar may be in play here.  You'll need to unfreeze the diagram first.
