Deleted or Renamed Associations comes back on Synchronize

In the 16.1 trial Corporate version I keep getting back some old one-way associations (earlier deleted from model) into the EA model.

If I:
1. Delete the (one way) associations in EA (delete from Model),
2. then Generate code,
3. then Synchronize code,
4 then I have the associations back again in the EA model.

With "back again" I mean the visual link and the corresponding attribute.

If I Rename an association, and Generate code + Sync again, then I have both the old association and the renamed association back in the model.

Has anyone else had this problem? How to fix it?
