Orthononal Square and Linked to element

I have an association between to classes.
I change the line style  to orthogonal square.

I then use the Link to Element feature to link to an attribute - and the line style changes to custom - this is an unwanted side effect.

I change the line style back to orthogonal square and link to element setting is lost

Anyone else noticed this (EA 1107)?

Orthogonal line styles are incompatible with pinning the connection to a feature because of the restrictions the two features place on the connections.
