Newbie: Adding projects to SCC doesn't work
« on: September 16, 2003, 03:36:50 am »
Hello

I'm currently evaluating EA and tried to add packages to my SCC repository. However - adding package control was no problem but if I check the "Version Control" option in the "Package Control Options" dialog, I'm getting the following error when trying to save my settings:
"Version-controlled file names should not include a path".

I was wondering *where* I should save my files - I want to keep the locally stored XML files under the same root as the other files of the project. And the samples in the online help include a path as well. Btw: If I just enter a file name without a path, EA crashes...

Thanks for your advice :-)

Philipp

G'day Philipp,

The message: "Version-controlled file names should not include a path" is just some advice informing you that you cannot specify a full path - all version controlled files go into the folder nominated in the local path setting of the Version Control Options dialog.

What message appears?  What SCC provider are you using?  What entries have you put into the Version Control Options dialog box?
