Quickie! hiding docked bars
« on: June 22, 2004, 07:50:30 pm »
Is there a way to speed up the closing of the docked windows in Autohide mode? I have turned off the animation in the view menu but they still take a dogs age to dissappear - specially the toolbox and the source code window which I have docked on the LHS of the screen.

Hi Bruce,
I experimented a bit. There's a difference whether you set the focus to an autohide window by clicking inside or not. In the first case you have to click somewhere outside to make it vanish. In the latter case it vanishes almost immediately if the focus is left. For me it's a bit bothering that the toolbox vanishes once I hover outside. So I would like to have it "a bit longer" visible.

;D  Yes - I want it both ways!

The one that is irking me is selecting a link type from the toolbox - I have to click on the drawing screen to make the toolbox disappear and uncover the element I want to use.
