Hi,

I don't really know what the definition would be, but here goes a try:

CASE = Computer-Aided Software Engineering, i.e. use of the tools to assist in the design and development of software.
By that logic, CASE tools are the tools used for the Software Engineering.
And similarly, UML CASE tools would be CASE tools utilizing UML, or based on UML.

Does this help?

Bruno
