Error: Unknown Transition Source or Target

I get the subject error message while importing XMI file that was created from another model.
The file is for a package that contains a process diagram.
After import the diagram has lost its Joint/Fork and links to/from them.

I've tried this with two latest EA versions, including v5.0 with same success.

Any ideas?
