Refreshing the project view
« on: May 17, 2006, 09:20:00 pm »
Hi,

If I am working with a colleague on a project using the same DBMS repository - and he creates views / packages, how can I get my copy of EA to do a refresh to make the packages appear without having to reload the whole model (and save my changes)?

Maybe there is a timer / refresh key (but I can't find it).  What I want is a standard "F9" type refresh on the package I've selected in the project view.

Thanks,
David.

AFAIK you can only reload the whole project (see File menu; ALT-SHFT-F11 (no EA here, so I guess))

You can also refresh a diagram, or all diagrams, which might do enough for you. The only way I have found to do this from the UI is to right-click on the diagram tab and choose reload (I think) from the context menu. Please note that there might be (and should be) other ways to do this. I simply have not found one.
No, you can't have it!
