Time, Resource and Project Management in EA
« on: August 29, 2007, 09:32:13 am »
  • Are you using EA for time calculations?
  • Are you using EA for resource management?
  • Are you using the project management capabilities in EA?
  • Do you wish there was an easy way to extract information from EA to MS Project?
  • Would you like to be able to quickly report on unallocated tasks?
  • Would you like to easily check and report on the overall status of tasks in EA?
  • Do you wish that you could quickly and  easily draw gantt charts live in EA from your models?
  • What if you could do all of these tasks(and more) now live inside EA?

Solutions Reality are currently finalising the development of an add-in for EA that already offers all these features (and more are planned for future releases).

Time Architect (for EA) is currently in private beta.  We will be announcing more details in the next few days but we are interested, by a quick 'show of hands' (reply below), the level of interest from the forum users.

Thanks for your help...

Hi Matt,
just a global answer from my side. I use EA in respect to manage requirement, issues and project impacts. This is a great and important piece of project management where EA serves well. I do not use EA for any kind of resource planing. I do this completely outside EA and also do not make any automatic adjustments. I might try your beta but most likely I will stay with my (open source) project planing tool (no, I DON'T use MS Project). Maybe you could also state what kind of fee for using a non-beta you are thinking of.

I'm certainly interested Matt. Give me a honk on the message line and we'll talk more.

[Please don't panic if I do not get back to you instantly; things are pretty busy.]

No, you can't have it!
