Can I display a portion of a table
« on: March 04, 2010, 05:54:48 am »
When working with a data model with large tables (many fields and indexes) the screen is quickly covered with the table objects and the relationships become hard to follow.  Is there a way to reduce the display of the tables so that I see the table name and maybe just the first 8 fields?  Similarly, I'd also like to be able to reduce the width truncating the display of longer field names.

Select the table, Ctrl+Shift+Y and click one of the "Custom" buttons - allows you decide for each feature whether to show it or hide it.

Choosing the truncate option in the Feature Visibility dialog is exactly what I was looking for on the width.  If I need to see some of the truncated line I just drag a handle to widen the element.

Any similar vertical resizing option?  Customizing the display of each table element to add and delete displayed features seems a bit tedious.  Am I missing something?

Thanks.
