Project Data Transfer via Automation Interface
« on: July 02, 2007, 06:56:04 am »
Hi all

Here is my question:
Is it possible to force a "Tools->Data Management->Project Data Transfer..." e.g.: "DBMS to EAP" via the Automation Interface?

thanks

No, unfortunately there is no way to call the "Project Transfer" command from automation at this time.

Please feel free to log a feature request for this:

Aaron,

Could we call this from an (internal) add-in, via menu commands? That would not solve everyone's problem, but it might make life easier for those projects where an internal EA add-in works.

No, you can't have it!

Me too please!!

Or can you describe the algorithm based on existing automation interface calls like the model update from VC repository.
I have a perl script framework to add it in if I know the correct way to do it.....

This would be a way to support the limitations of the team working features we are facing now.... (geo-distributed teams)

Thanks!

I wondered what happened to this request as almost one year has passed since...

And another year...

We really need this feature in order to automate our process requirements.

(I have requested this the formal way also)

Thanks,
Magnus

Will this feature be included in the next release of EA?

Cheers,
