Personal notes
« on: January 08, 2008, 10:27:29 pm »
I would like to have an option to make my own personal notes on a shared model.
If I'm working on a diagram and I add such a note then only I will see it. It could be very usefull for shared models , since people want to makr things for them self but they now have to keep a hard copy of the model for it.
Recursion definition:
If you don’t understand the definition read "Recursion definition".

As a workaround - but not meeting your privacy requirement, the discussion forum functionality could be used as you can add anything you like in a thread there AND link it to objects in the model.

I guess it would require a topic for it...might work (as workarround).

This would likely work only if security were turned on.

That said, the current security model seems to be based on restricting edits. Each user has read access to the entire model.

Still, perhaps it would be possible to tweak the current code...

Perhaps there should also be an option to clear out all personal notes. This way the final model won't remain cluttered.

This option should also be available from the API.

Something along the lines of how Audit entries can be cleared out.
