Relationship Matrix in Documentation

It should be possible to include a relationship or gap analysis matrix in HTML or RTF reports.

Hi,

Have you checked 9.33 onwards - i thought the option to print elements of a relationship matrix was added for RTF reports ?

Regards,

Jon.

You're right, I hadn't looked. we only use HTML.  OK, so I just would like see it added to HTML reports :) I wish the HTML reports had the same kind of features for filtering, etc. that are built into the RTF.

Another nice feature for the Matrix would be 'Any path to' instead of a direct link of a given sort. It would be very useful, for instance, to find all technology functions, or infrastructure services related to a given business process in any way. Clicking on the cell at the intersection might give you something like the traceability window has that shows you how they are related.

Mmm... I have version 9.3 (build 933) of Systems Engineering Edition and I cannot find where / how to add the relationship matrix into an RTF report.

Can anybody tell me where it is? Thanks.

If you look in the Resources/Template/Document Templates. You will see it as a choice in the tree, under packages. The functionality feels a bit unfinished to me for a couple of reasons:
1) It only allows you to include realtionship matrices that are built directly from a package.  If you use a model search for the matrix, there is no way to include it (from what I can see).
2) When you do use packages for the matrix, it shows up twice! Once for each package in the Matrix.

To me, it makes more sense to include them in the Model/Resources node (which is where Matrix Profiles show up in the UI anyhow) and perhaps allow a filter of some sort one which ones are displayed.

One other nice feature, or approach, would be to put a RelationshipMatrix stereotype into the tools for the Documentation model.  This object could use TaggedValues to specify either a profile name, or all of the Source/Target/Type, etc. inputs to the Matrix.  You could then you could then just add this to a model document and thus be specific about where you want specific matrices to show up.
