Setting defaults for new diagrams
« on: November 14, 2014, 10:02:14 am »
Each time I create a new diagram, the first thing I always do is go into the diagram properties to change
- Disable "show additional parents", "show diagram details", "show namespace"
- Enable "Disable fully scoped object names
- Disable "Show element stereotypes"
- Disable "Show stereotype labels"

Which obviously gets tedious when you create a lot of diagrams.  A suggested improvement to Sparx is that it allows these settings to be configured as defaults.  Either through [Tools]/[Options].  Which in fact does allow this for the "Disable fully scoped object names" but not the other settings.   Or allow the user to right click in the diagram and select to save all settings as a default for new diagrams.

You can create a Template Package within your model which allows you to configure a default set of options to be applied to specific types of new diagrams and elements.  See:
