SysML vs UML Requirements Management (import)
« on: May 10, 2011, 07:12:06 am »
Hi

I posted the following query to the General Board and  I haven't received a response yet.  I'm wondering if the query is to specific for that board and am reposting here in hopes that this is a better place for my question.  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a requirements model in EA and I'm fairly new at this.  I've read the white paper at http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/downloads/whitepapers/Requirements_Management_..., and have successfully imported requirements from a CSV file.  It's a bit clunky but I've gotten it to work.  My problem is, I'm trying to build a SysML 1.1 model using the SysML toolbox add in.  When I follow the procedures in the white paper the resulting requirements objects are from the base EA UML toolbox and are missing some of the SysML features.  Is it possible to import the requirements from CSV directly to SysML objects instead of UML objects?  Or, is it possible to do a batch conversion once I have the initial import done?

Thanks
Derrick

I didn't manage to do this. I started to create some excel based add-ons to do this.
