Manual outdated. Option "Allow non domain users" not documented
« on: October 30, 2020, 05:50:13 pm »
I was looking at the new "Allow non domain users" to try and figure out what it means, and if I can use it.

But unfortunately the manual does not include a description of that option.

Updating the manual should really be included in the Definition of Done.

Come on Geert,

you know that things need not just to be "Done" but "Done, Done"!    ;)

But, but -- agile means you don't have to do any documentation!
Documentating stuff is like soooo waterfall.
My theories are always correct, just apply them to the right reality.

From the (yet to be published) Help:

If you are importing the user IDs from a Windows Active Directory, do not complete any user detail fields on this dialog, but select the 'Accept Windows Authentication' checkbox and go to the Import User IDs from Active Directory Help topic. Note that the option 'Allow non-domain users (insecure)' will, if selected, also allow auto-login of a user who is not a user of the domain. If the option is not selected and the user is not a user of the domain, the auto-login is aborted. The option defaults to unselected when security is being enabled.
