linking diagram notes

I'm using Sparx EA 14. I have a model that I'm using and publishing a document from it. It's more convenient that I create a series of document template packages that I use for the publishing, as it gives me more control of the published document. These document template packages contain diagrams that I've linked from my model. The problem is that even though the diagram elements are linked, any changes to  the diagram or diagram notes do not get linked, so when I make any changes to the model, those changes do not make it to the published document.

Does anyone know how to link the diagram and diagram notes so that whenever I make any changes to the original diagram, it will be reflected in the published document?

If you've got a Note element in a diagram, you can right-click it and select Advanced - Link to Diagram Note. This will lock the Note to the diagram's notes property and auto-update the Note when the notes change.

I've tried that before. The problem with that is that it adds a visible note to the diagram. Also, any changes to the diagram in the model do not get copied to the linked diagram.

Its not clear what you mean by linked.
All entities have a notes field, including the diagram entity.
The notes field can be exposed for the element type (e.g. package, entity, diagram) in the document template.
