Obviously you can post here :-) Probably you should mail Sparx with your issue. Never seen or heard about that message.

Thanks. Yes, posting in general obviously seems to work. I was just hoping somebody else might have seen a similar error and known the cause. There must be something about the content I'm trying to post that is triggering something?

Anyway, yes, I'll report it and see if that get's me anywhere.

Thanks,
Steve.

Replying to my own reply...

The subject of my new post had "quotes" in it. I took those out and it posted just fine. Not sure what made me think to try that, but I guess that's a feature of this forums system?

Anyway, problem solved, or at least worked around...

Ah, that kind of message. Recently when using UTF8 chars it simply crashed and your message was gone. This "bulletin board" is stilll steam operated.

I'll bear that in mind in future... ;D

IN ADDITION, since some days/weeks, I cannot use the forum search function any more  :-[ the steam is too foggy for me! I am accessing the forum from my companies network (and we have valid licenses) - so no need to be blocked.

CleanTalk. Spam protection

This is saying that the error is coming from the Spam Protection module 'CleanTalk'.

*** Forbidden. Sender blacklisted. Please enable JavaScript. ***
I've seen Sender blacklisted show up when someone was connecting via a VPN. My understanding is that the ip addresses used by some VPNs have been widely used across many forums for spamming. Unfortunately, blocking those ip ranges is necessary for the sake of the majority of users.

If that is correct, the JavaScript is probably irrelevant.

I have to use VPN to access my company network (i.e. the EA Database), this is no commercial VPN. Our company uses a fixed IP (or a range I do not know) to show up in the internet. Nevertheless, I've seen this "spam protection" the first time some weeks ago. Is this new?

In any case I submitted a support ticket for registered users (no response so far).
