Link Type Trace not in Relationship matrix.
« on: January 09, 2009, 04:31:49 pm »
Hi,

I have a scenario where I am linking a usecase or a requirement to a class in PIM. The link type I am using is a trace. But when I go to the relationship matrix this link type is shown as dependency by default. In the relationship matrix, Link Type drop down doesnt have Trace as one value to select. Why Trace is not there when "trace" can be used as a link between model elements ?

Thanks,
pH

A trace is a stereotyped dependency.  That's why it doesn't appear as a connector type in the relationship matrix.

Which in turn leads to the proposal for adding a stereotype filter to the relationship matrix.
Actually it is impossible to distinguish between different dependency relationships in the matrix.
