EA11 and template fragments

Hi,

since the template fragments are very valueable in win7 & win8 environments, i wanted to recreate the new rtf-template in EA11.

Unfortunately I cannot find correct section for inserting the fragment.
How may I insert the fragements into rtf reporting?

I just found it, however it doesn't work as expected.

Can anyone confirm working template fragements in win 8.1?

I just get the following information in my report:

{Template - Baseline}
child packages >
< child packages
< package

Any ideas?

Hello Stefan,

I have some fragment templates converted from EA10 in EA11.

I copied the calling template and the fragment template to make sure that they are V11 compatible.

After that I had no problems.

From release 10 I faintly remember that inserting a fragment template in a template is a bit fiddling. I think there is also a thread in this forum.

After a bit of try and error I suppose i got the reason:

Template fragments are not useable on cover pages. Is that true?

Yes it is true. Cover pages and table of contents don't operate on the data in the model (except for some basic information about the top level package) so fragments serve no purpose.

What did you expect template fragments to do for a cover page?

Hi wanted to crate a table for all baselines for the package
and an additional table for a list of package-depending approvers (people, which are written into package taggedValues)

For that you will still need to use a master document (presumably as you already have been)
