Notes enhancements

With EA 12 in the pipeline an enhancement to the notes field and dialogue box would be most appreciated.

Things that come to mind, most probably already asked for in the past

•  fix hyperlinks so they can be edited
• add cut, copy and paste button
• add paste as text only
• fix all the myriad ways it is possible to paste text from tables, or with page breaks and other markup that causes the control to lose the actual text (and often ends up displaying html)
• add bullet and number indentation
• add simple tables
• expose the hidden functionality of ctrl-F with a find button (ctrl-F opens a Search Text dialogue)
• expose any other hidden functionality
• allow the linked document to be linked as the note, and thus exposing it as if it were the note

and the suggestion that brings me here today

• add text [highlight]highlighting[/highlight]

Since is does not seem possible to fix the pasting of formatting such as tables in note fields my enhancement suggestion is

Provide a paste as text option for note fields.

Hi,

One thing they did sneak into 12.13 is the ability to add graphics (kind of) into notes fields ... you add the graphic to the image manager and a link to this in the note field - the graphic itself is then rendered when displaying the notes...doesn't help re tables - but a step in the right direction...

It's like mending a wreck that has seen it's best days long ago. Time for a new car, please. Elsewhere you get the migration tool along with your new car.
