Importing XML
« on: May 27, 2004, 07:02:45 am »
Hi,

I'm trying to import classes from one EAP to add into another. However, importing overwrites the existing classes. I've tried creating another package to import into but EA gives the following error:

"Error: Root package already exists in another location.

Conflict is with existing package 'Classes'"

I can import by forward engineering the code from the exporting EAP and then reverse engineering it into the importing EAP. Is this the best way?

Cheers,

Stuart

On the import form there is a checkbox called Strip GUID's, check this box and the import should work as you want it.
