SCC settings error
« on: May 27, 2005, 06:08:12 am »
Hello,

I have just upgrade to 5.0 version build 765 and I tried to setup version control for project. I had a project from version 4.5 and when I tried to set up version control settings I get this error message when I try to save my settings:

"DAO.Database[3346]
Number of query values and destination fields aren't the same."

Despite it version control works and I can work with CVS (Jalindi Igloo). But when I close my project and reopen it I have to go to Version control Configurations, choose Unique ID, press Save button. Than I ignore error and I can work again.

I did this on my local replica not the master model. And the master was not configured to use SCC.

Basicly the problem is that I cannot save SCC settings for my project and I must choose it every time I open it.

Thanks for advice.

Although usually I'm against "me too" forum responses - me too! I've had the same problem on build 764. I upgraded to 765 in a hope that it would solve the problem.

I rasied a support call on it last Friday.
Hopefully should hear something back soon.

murphy,

would your EA project happen to be part of a replica set?

Ours was, but I tried to save the cvs settings on a non replicated database and that worked.

Yes yes my project is a part of replica....

I used to make a new project, put it on the network drive as Design Master and create my local replica for work... For this replica I set up SCC... this worked in 4.5 quite good.

Altough I had a small problem if I synchronize replica with master, also package version settings was synchronized so other colleagues got error message, that they don't have properly set up EA. But it worked...

But back to our problem, maybe it's necessary to make a (1) new project (2) set up SCC and after than (3)make replicas.. I'll try....
