Customisation in "Save diagram as image"
« on: October 18, 2005, 03:03:16 am »
We're creating class diagrams and saving them as GIFs (using the Diagram>>Save Image to file" menu option), but we'd like to be able to save the diagram as an image without the "cd DIAGRAM NAME" heading at the top (and perhaps even lose the bounding box around the edge of the complete diagram).

Is there an option somewhere I've missed?

Thanks for any help you can give ...

Chris

Hi Chris,

1. Open EA
2. On the Start Page select Customize Local Options
3. Go to the Menu Diagram
4. Deselect Diagram Frames

Thank you!

I thought I'd tried that, but it does indeed get rid of the frame and the diagram title.

Is there any way of just getting rid of the title and retaining the frame?

Thanks again, very quick, very helpful!

Hi Chris,
unfortunately this option is not there.  The diagram title is a firm component of the frames.   You can use a simple textnote instead

Not sure how a text note will provide me with a frame, but I'll figure it out.

Thanks again.

Apology my error. You want the frame and not the title.Use a Boundary from the UseCase Toolbox and you have a frame

That's what I guessed ... you've been a great help ... and now I must get back to writing this guide on how to use EA and UML here at work ...  ;D
