Synchronizing ASPX.VB files
« on: January 05, 2006, 01:39:01 pm »
I've a question for you EA gurus out there. I've been using EA for several months now and it has proven to be quite helpful to engineering my class files. However, I'm working on a ASP.net project using VB.net and can't seem to figure out how to synchronize the web pages for the app. I've tried associating the class with the .ASPX file and with the .ASPX.VB file and I can't seem to get EA to pull back in the info from the web page.

If I select the class in the EA model and click on the View Code option in the context menu. it opens the correct file. But if I click on the Synchronize with Code option. nothing happens. Any ideas as to what blindingly obvious step I'm missing?

EA does not support parsing ASP.net files.  You can write templates to generate it, but synchronisation and reverse engineering aren't possible yet.

Thanks. That certainly explains why nothing happens. Any estimate of when that might be added?
