Export and import UML stereotypes?
« on: February 20, 2006, 12:57:22 am »
Hi,

Is it possible to export my UML stereotypes to a file so that others can import them? I don't see an option to do that in the UML stereotypes dialog.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Create a Package with all Stereotypes
2. Select Save Package as UML Profile in the Contextmenu

Thats all

Oliver ;)

Thanks Oliver. What do you mean exactly by "create a package with all Stereotypes"?

Still unsure what you mean. How do I create a package with all the stereotypes in there? Is there a way to export them in to the package?

Ok here another solution:

1.  Open your EAP file with MS ACCESS
2.  you can export the table t_stereotypes with all stereotypes you have to other EAP - files

Rather than opening your EAP file in MS ACCESS.  Use the Data Exporter in Tools | Export Reference Data.  Select Stereotypes and click Export.

Tools | Import Reference Data imports it into another model.
