Importing and exporting editable diagrams
« on: February 22, 2006, 01:50:43 am »
Apologies if this topic has already been discussed. I could not get the search to work for me.

I would like to know if it is possible to port diagrams from EA into iGrafx Process 2006 (a Corel flowcharting application which accepts a number of different file formats - e.g. Visio, ABC Flowcharter etc). And also whether or not this can be done in reverse (i.e. diagrams from other applications into EA).

It is worth pointing out that I am on version 5 of EA, so if this is a feature in a future version, please just indicate which one.

The only way would be to go through XMI. This prooves to be quite difficult since XMI isn't XMI. EA can also export/import Rose's XMI flavor. Diagrams are always difficult - just one above top of element transfer. You need to give it a try.
