Perspectives and custom toolboxes

I have created custom UML Profiles and I show them in my UML Toolbox.

When I open the “Configure Perspectives” window, my custom profiles are not listed in “Toolbox Folders”.

How can I configure my perspectives with my custom UML Profiles?

If you right click on your profile (or technology if your profile is contained in a technology) in the Resources window.  You can select 'Show Profile in UML Toolbox'.

This won't make it show in the options, but you will have it in the toolbox.

Thanks for the reply. However, the question is not how to show it in the toolbox. It's how to show it in the toolbox only in specific perspectives (e.g., Business Analyst,Developer, etc.).

As far as I there isn't any way to specify what perspective to show a profile toolbox in.

However, the SysML addin provides a SysML perspective.  So that much at least is possible.

Because we'd like to make our own perspective...  A lot easier than constantly switching between 4.

Even if it requires a registry hack it would be useful.

There are several methods - AddPerspective among them - available to manipulate the perspective list.

However, having created one, how do we manipulate the perspective itself?

Remember folks, there is more to a perspective than just the toolbox. For example, validation rules seems to be perspective-specific.

Yes, Thanks Simon, I knew abut that.  I was hoping we could now create perspectives with their own toolbox set - which this page doesn't suggest you can.

Except, perhaps, in the context of profiles, which is where we came in.
