Beta 7.0 paper size specification
« on: May 22, 2007, 08:02:28 am »
When printing a diagram, my printer (HP Laser Jet 4) wants me to load A4 paper.  I use letter size paper only.  I tried to specify the correct paper size in the printer setup, but that didn't fix the problem.  Not ready to report a bug yet, the problem is probably mine.

Where in EA do I need to go to set a default paper size?

thanks

How about File/Page setup?

Been there, done that.  It only works for the currently printing diagram.  When I print the next diagram, its back to A4 paper.  Must I specify a default paper size for each individual diagram in the project?

BTW:  I'm printing some of the documents in the EA Example project to see the effects of color gradients.

I'm having a similar problem Jim. EA wants to use my default printer and paper size.

I just now tried setting this from main Tools | Options | Diagram page. It seems to be holding, but I've yet to save and restart the project - is on a different machine, and is in use just now - so I don't know if the setting persists. At best this would give an EA-wide setting, rather than a per-project setting.

Since the setting defaulted to my default printer, I doubt (without proof) that it is coming from the EABase project. However, that does remain a possibility.

No, you can't have it!
