EA compatibility with Windows Vista 64-bit
« on: October 14, 2008, 02:52:06 am »
Are there any compatibility issues with running Enterprise Architect on Windows Vista 64-bit?

Is there at 64-bit version of Enterprise Architect or does the current version (7.1) execute under the WoW64?

I note the System Requirements page for Enterprise Architect (http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/ea/sysreq.html) only lists Windows Vista (32bit).

Many Thanks,

Robert.

Search the forum. I think someone had some insights on this recently (past six months or so).
No, you can't have it!

Enterprise Architect does not have a native 64bit build, however the 32bit version runs without problem under the 32bit emulation subsystem of Vista 64 (WoW64).

Sparx will also provide support as usual to users running the 32bit build under Windows Vista 64bit

Best Regards,

Michael
