How to link Activity with Operation
« on: September 25, 2009, 05:38:40 pm »
Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to model the "method - specification" relation between an operation and it's behaviour (in this case an Activity).
According to UML there is such a relation, but I just can't figure out how to model it in EA.
Does anybody have an idea how to acomplish this?
Or otherwise, how do you link the behaviour of an operation (Activity, Interaction, ...) to the operation itself?
This seems lik such a basic type of thing, but I just can't find a proper way to model it in EA without resorting to custom tagged values.

After searching the forum I found that I'm not the first one to ask this question.
The frustrating part is that EA already provides (part of) this functionality for the operations on states.
There you have a [...] button to select a behavior to be linked to the entry/do/exit operation.
So the only think Sparx should do it to add the [...] button to the behavior tab of all operations, and allow a multiple selection of behaviors. (relation between BehavioralFeature and Behavior = 0..1 - *)
