Preserving messages in sequence diagram
« on: July 23, 2010, 10:44:28 am »
I created and exported a sequence diagram. When I import and open this diagram in the Project Browser, I see my LifeLines and messages.
Now I want to create a new diagram and drop my LifeLines into it. When dropping a LifeLine into new diagram, I check Copy connections, but my messages do not appear. Is there a way to preserve messages when creating a new diagram from an existing one?

I think Ctrl-A + Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V (select all, copy, paste) is a way to get this done. That should copy everything to a new diagram, after which you can remove what you don't need.

Hi Geert.

Thank you for the response.
Have you tried this approach?
I did, but result is the same: Lifellines are copied, but messages not.

In the Project Browser, select the diagram, right-click, Copy Diagram, select a package, right-click, Paste Diagram.
