   How can i apply some customized stereotype to diagram?

Depends on what James means...

If James means to apply a stereotype to a diagram, one reason is to have an automaton draw it automatically (like my Add-Ins do for defined stereotypes).

What i mean is I want to create my customized architectural view diagram by my addin and then my document generator can produce special diagram into some place in document to be generated according to  stereotype of diagram.

I also missed stereotypes for diagrams, and I still miss tagged values! However, what you want to achieve can be probably covered by MDG technology. Consult the help files for more information.
