Diagram I/O edge connectors
« on: October 17, 2012, 03:42:26 am »
I'm using SysML.  In the book "A Practical Guide to SysML" many of the diagrams show the outline of the diagram (the frame of the diagram) as an object in the window.  That makes it possible to drag and drop I/O (ports) from other diagrams onto the edge of the diagram of interest.  I can't seem to find an option in EA that makes the outline (frame) of the diagram of interest an object in the window.  So the drag and drop doesn't work.  Any ideas on how to make this work with EA?

Thanks

I don't remember the exact command, but you can drop an element onto its own child diagram and show it as a diagram frame. I think you also need to save and reload the diagram.

You will be pleased to hear that this will be made much easier in the next release of EA.
