excluding items from documentation

Hi,
is it possible to exclude elements from the documentation e.g. by using special stereotypes or so. its confusing if any symbol in a diagram is a separate item with an index.

hi,

you can store them within one packaged for example "_not_in_reports".
afterwards right-click the package and go to "Documentation->Generated-report-options" and press "Exclude from documentation."

Alternatively you can give the template the excluding information. "Project->Documentation->document template designer" and then within "Document options" in tab "Element filters".
You can define any way of filter you would like :-)
However you have to do this in EACH template you are using

thanks a lot,
in detail i still have problems to manage it
- i want to supress the attributes of entities, so i said no elements with stereotype ERD_Attribute, but that does not help
- at second, the filter is always gone, as soon i close the windows

Have you looked at eaDocX? You can exclude items from documents without changing your EA model.

Which is the same attempt like the second one "with templates"
