Gantt diagram and time stamp
« on: September 10, 2014, 07:52:45 pm »
Hi,

when switching to Gantt diagram, I found my elements being placed on a specific time, which is the time when I added a ressource to the element. For example, when I add a ressource at 4:35 pm and I change the date from 11th September to 14th September, the starting time 4:35 of the element in the Gantt diagram will be 4:35pm (I never added a time during the edit of the resources; only dates are choosable from the date picker).

A) Is there a feature to edit the timestamp (hours and minutes) of the task element ?

B) Gantt diagram with daily slots is ok, but I must define tasks at specific hours (for example when describing a deployment task list, I need to specify tasks at 8am, 10am, 11:30 am and so forth which run for a couple of hours) - is it possible to add ressources not only at a given date, but also time ?

Please have a look at the picture below. You see that some tasks start at 00:00 at the beginning of a day, while some start in the middle of the day. How can you define those starting/ending times of Tom OReilly and Ken Nielssen in the middle of the day ?

Thanks
Bernd

Unfortunately the resource allocation information used by the gantt chart doesn't provide that level of detail.

My guess is that the image is unwittingly showing a bug.

Hopefully you could add an editable time field to the date picker and everything would be fine  ;)
