Report on all interfaces
« on: August 12, 2015, 07:57:02 pm »
I am a business user and not familiair with the techie in EA.

For our plan to make life a little more safe i want to know what interfacelines there are in EA.
When I try to create a report on all connectors, it doesn't work.

What I want is a list of connectors (ftp, http, sftp, .....) with their Source and target in details.

For example :
interfacesname     : type   : Source                          : Target      :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pain001 excasso   : ftp      : Application Z, Upload     : Bank X     :
XXXXXXXXXXXXX  : http   : NONE, Internet Explorer : Website X :

Is this easy to create in EA?

Hi Ernosh and welcome to the forum,

Document template design is a bit of a dark art, but in most cases you can get reasonable-looking documents out of most models.

I'm a bit confused about your model though. Could you clarify how interface, type, source and target are represented in your model please?

Cheers,

Hi,

A custom Search involving SQL should let you achieving what you're looking (once you have the results, you can copy/paste semicolon delimited value to a text file).

Like Uffe said, an example or details on your model is needed to work on a suitable query.

Not sure this is what you are looking for, but I have done this through creating a custom template in the document generator.
Create a new custom document template by starting off with one of the default templates, one that has most of the info you are looking for and just remove all the info you don't care about.
Save that as your custom interface document template. Then you can select at what ever folder level you want to have the report run at.
