Relationship Matrix between Req's and Test Cases

How do I get a traceability matrix to show Requirements on one axis and Test Cases on another .....also I want to include the child element requirements and test cases too.....

For the external Requirements and Test cases (the ones you drag onto the diagram, and are visible in the browser).   You should be able to do it.

Use Source Type: Requirement Target Type: Test Case
Link Type: Dependency Direction Bi-Directional (to get them all)

If by child you mean internal to a classifier.  you can't AFAIK.  Convert them to external by using the button.

I tried what you said...I have two requirements and Two Test Cases for the package...(at package level)....it shows the requirements in the matrix but it does not show the test cases....am I missing something ??

I didn't give any instructions as to the setting the source and destination since I don't know your circumstances.  However, you can try the following...

First ensure the Requirements and Test Cases as in the Project Viewer - that way they are eligible to appear in the Matrix.  Set your Source and Destination to the highest common point - such as the Project Root.  make sure you set the remainder of the filter as previously.

I believe there should now be no excuse for them not to appear... :D

Once you can see them, you can refine the filters (and then save the profile (via a non-intuitive process of Right-Clicking in the filter bar)
