Importing DDL script from filesystem?
« on: March 07, 2006, 04:19:43 am »
Hi all,

I am using EA 6.0778 and am looking for the import DDL script from filesystem option.

Unfortunateley I cannot find it.  ???

Reason is that we use RAD6 from IBM. I have the possibility to define tables in RAD6 and then generate ddl scripts from the defined tables.
Then I want to reverse engineer the DDL in EA, by importing the script into EA through the filesystem. ;)

Any help ?

Thanks for your fast reply Oliver :)

Hmmm... too bad it's not possible.
It's really hard to maintain two things at the same time, meaning the script file and the data model, perhaps EA will include a feature to import ddl scripts from the filessystem?

Then I'd like to know if it's possible to define a different table space for indexes?
