Virtual Documents Mixed Portrait/Landscape Output
« on: March 04, 2016, 02:12:31 am »
Hi

I'm pretty new to Sparx EA but slowly getting my head around how to create Virtual documents. The document outputs I need to create are a combination of requirements, models and use cases

The output of the requirements catalogue and models lends themselves to landscape page layout / printer setup and I've created the model document templates as such. However the business context and the use cases are better in portrait (And the business already gets that from before we started using EA)

My master document is portrait to show the business context etc but I found soon as I add any landscape model document into my documentation model it converts the whole document to landscape... Ideally I want the master and each model document to have its own page layout / printer setup as per the template I created.

Anyone know please if this is possible? At the moment we are having to use word after the output to convert the individual pages

I am using EA 12.1 and the actual output of the cover page and contents remain portrait so this problem only overrides the templates

Thanks, Dan

I think you somehow need to add a section break at the end of the last portrait template to avoid all of it to change to landscape.

In the past, at least, you couldn't add the section break at the start of the template without getting a blank page IIRC, I put in a bug feature request at the time, but haven't checked recently to see if it was fixed.
