Project Styles - where are they?
« on: February 20, 2017, 02:59:51 pm »
Can anyone point me at where the Layout Ribbon, Style panel styles are held?

qwerty's otherwise excellent book can't shed any light, and I've been "round the houses" looking for them.

TIA,
Paolo

I'm stilling sitting behind the barricades. Ribbons are something you put around presents, not on top of applications.

Yes, but you know what I mean, the styles next to the format painter and medicine dropper.

It's in t_trxtypes (just found that).

Obvious, of course...  ;)  Must have missed it in my travels...

Anyhow, thanks for that.
Looking at the values that are in there, it would appear to only apply the properties identified, in the particular entry.  So, for example, if a style applies the fill colour (because the medicine dropper picked it up) but that's not what you want,l removing the fill clause would cause the style not to apply, yes?  I'll try to confirm that when I get in to work.

Paolo

[EDIT:  In the case of Fill, the value needs to be -1 to leave the fill alone. ]

I hesitate to mention this because I know how you will misuse it, but...

In version 13 the audit settings now allows a 'Debug' level. If you turn this on, change *anything* in your model and set the audit list to display raw results, you should easily find where/how it is stored.

How can that be?   ;)

One of my aphorisms is:  "In the absence of any contravening documentation, what the system does is what it was supposed to do."  Consequently, the only "misuse" is that contrary to that explicitly documented.  Alternate or unexpected uses are just that.

I was expecting "everything else is art" :-)

Think you'll find thats a tool bar not a ribbon - no tabs. Sparx has toolbars too and a ribbon.
Happy to help
