I'm not having any issues.  Are you on the other side of some soggy cables?

In that case I'd have complained all day. Maybe you were just looking when it had been ok. In this very moment it's at normal speed. Well, I can't expect any answer before Monday.

So if your server isn't the culprit it might be some different kind of Brexit.

I can confirm. From Belgium it's also damn slow.
Sometimes it even returns a a timeout error.

Well strictly speaking it's your browser that times the connection out, not the server. :)
But yes, it sucks from Sweden as well and has for a few days, from about midmorning (local) alhough I have been able to get through without issue in the early morning.

I tested a couple of other .au sites, eg ABC and realestate.com.au and they're responding just fine.

As sort of work around (loading a page takes 30 seconds at least before data arrive, but then all in a go) I open all entries from Unread Posts in new tabs. So after these 30 seconds (or more) I have them all open to read. However, each interaction (like a reply) again takes time again.

Also, images take much longer to load. So I can see the text in a thread and in the user info on the left, but images come in much later, if at all. This includes smileys in posts, logos in user info and the new posts / no new posts indication on the forum front page.

I'm also getting large numbers of spelling-error indications in the editor, which look like it's assuming I'm writing in Swedish, and some words are replaced as I type, eg word (becomes Word) and spelling (becomes Spelling).

It's not just the forum either. The manual is also unresponsive, as are the product pages.

FYI - I also noticed slow performance problems from Canada on Thursday morning.
Currently, the site seems to be performing quite well again.

Speaking of "soggy" cables...in Canada we immerse network cables in maple syrup to protect them from that problem...eh.
 ;)

I'm surprised no one blamed Covid-19!  ;)

Here in Oz, it's been pretty good (albeit we are far away).

While exactly this page loaded normally, others were slow as molasses. Well, a reload again took ages. So situation isn't clear yet.

Still very slow and inconsistent from UK today - same as last week. Sometimes OK, sometimes a timeout.
