DAO.Recordset [3021] error
« on: October 01, 2008, 07:16:00 pm »
Hi

I keep getting a pop-up with the message

"DAO.Recordset [3021] No Current Record"

I'm using build 832 and am working in an activity diagram. The only thing I can think of is that I had a linked document on one of the activities and deleted this (by right clicking on the activity). I've run the project integrity check (SH-F9) and repairing the EAP file; all with no effect.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Jon

There has been a DAO error reported for build 832, which I believe was resolved for the next build. Search the forum, going back 2 months or so, to see if you have the same error.

If not, please send an immediate bug report to Sparx. Use the Registered Users page; there is a link to the bug report near the very top of the text. Or send an email to Sparx Support. By sending the report in either of these ways you can attach a sample project. [Remember to compress the file.] That should help them find a fast solution. Perhaps if you do so immediately the correction can make into the next build.

No, you can't have it!

Hi.

I've tried the JET 4 upgrade but am still getting the same error. A guess is that the relationship between the activity (in this case) and the diagram which it contains is broken.

I have two composite activities on an activity diagram. If I double click on one I get the contained diagram, and no errors. If I double click on the other I don't get the contained diagram. I have to open it via the browser at which point the errors start.

Will submit a bug

Cheers

Jon

Hi

An update. I raised a bug and got a reply.

No cause yet identified but did get a work around which is to switch off the "composite" flag [right click->advanced->Make composite] for the activity that was causing the issue.

Not ideal but it does seem to do the trick

Cheers
