Strange behaviour: ClearCase snapshot + subst cmd

Hi,

while trying to access a eap model with version controlled subsequent xmis I see the following behaviour:

1. Model opens correctly when opened in a dynamic view network drive.

2. Model opens correctly when opened in a snapshot view on harddisk.

3. Model opens correctly when using dynamic view and subst to create a network drive pointing to the folder in which the eap model and subsequent is contained.

4. FAIL: Model does open with strange message boxes when using a snapshot view and subst to create a network drive pointing to the folder in which the eap model and subsequent is contained:

• "Error: SCC_E_NONSPECIFICERROR".
• "Error while initializing Version Control provider: Failed to open SCC Project"
• "Error: SCC_E_NONSPECIFICERROR".
• "Error while initializing Version Control provider: Failed to open SCC Project"
• "Error: SCC_E_NONSPECIFICERROR".
• "Error while initializing Version Control provider: Failed to open SCC Project"
• ... more messageboxes like above ...
• "Failed to initialize Version Control Provider"

Note: on all occasions the version control settings have been updated to reflect the applied situation. Besides setting for snapshot + subst also leads to the errors shown above.

Are there any explanations or workarounds so that still a snapshot view can be used?
